The JUST US, Social and Civic Club, LLC appreciates our over 40 years in existence.
We have been philanthropic in the Washington DC area for 40 years, providing support to families known and unknown facing a crisis with food support, clothing, Thanksgiving baskets, Christmas toys, gifts, and scholarships to our local youth.
 

We believe in our future generation and that we should impart support for the success of today’s students and future leaders in our communities. We are well known for offering annual
scholarships to encourage academic excellence and leadership development among area College Bound Students in all disciplines. The Lee A William Juneteenth Starlit Scholarship is a
formal and competitive award recognizing and fostering excellence.
 

The JUST US, Social and Civic Club, LLC offers annual scholarship awards to deserving high
school graduating seniors in the Washington D.C. area who will be full-time students at
accredited post-secondary institutions who meet the eligibility criteria. It is our contribution to the community and our effort to empower future generations. Our scholarships provide seed money toward the continuing education of our recipients.
 

We believe supporting the students who contribute to the community is necessary. Thus, we award scholarships to:
1) Recognize students who are leaders.
2) Recognize students who demonstrate a commitment to their community.
3) Commend students who have demonstrated academic excellence.
4) Help lessen the financial burden for students who demonstrate a need.
 

The amount of the award ranges from $500.00 to $2,000.00. This is a one-time cash award given to individual winners for undergraduate study beginning in the fall of the award year. Receipt of the Scholarship is based upon acceptance into an accredited college, university, community college, or technical/trade school at the time of the award.
